Community Impact Partnership

Up the Impact!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

3 Rivers Outdoor Company prides itself on being Pittsburgh’s Hub for the Outdoor Community, and recognizes the power of collaboration to influence positive change in the Pittsburgh region. The shop partners with local breweries and environmental or recreation-based nonprofit organizations on a semiannual basis to host mission-specific and fundraising events, raising funds for nonprofit partners through beers poured for donation at the in store tap at 3ROC.

Whether you are attending a Community Campfire on a Friday night, a Knot Tying workshop, a film festival, or just want to enjoy a tasty, locally brewed beer while you shop; you are supporting the important work of local nonprofits with every sip!

OUR CURRENT PARTNERS

Allow us to Introduce…our Community Impact Partners for January through June 2025!

3ROC is excited to partner with Mountain Watershed Association and Hazel Grove Brewing as our Community Impact Partners for winter and spring 2025. The partnership will officially kick off on Friday, January 24th, fireside with a happy hour celebration on the patio at 3ROC. Beer from Hazel Grove will be on tap at the shop, available for a $5 donation benefiting Mountain Watershed Association's mission. The partners will also collaborate on a series of monthly events showcasing the nonprofit's mission.

ABOUT MOUNTAIN WATERSHED ASSOCIATION

Mountain Watershed Association is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to protect, preserve and restore the Youghiogheny River watershed and its broader communities through conservation, recreation, education, and advocacy. Our organization is unique in that we pursue on-the-ground restoration of past environmental damages while we advocate to protect the watershed from new sources of pollution, primarily caused by fossil fuel development. We achieve our mission through a variety of initiatives including abandoned mine drainage remediation, water quality monitoring, trail development, educational programming, grassroots organizing, and legal advocacy.

ABOUT HAZEL GROVE BREWING

Located in nearby Hazelwood, Hazel Grove Brewing opened their taproom doors in July 2024 and are focused on bringing people together over thoughtfully crafted beer and supporting their community through partnerships such as Industrial Arts Workshop, Offroute Art, Hazelwood Local, and now 3 Rivers Outdoor Company.  The connection with 3ROC is a natural one as owners Steve, Barb, and Larry are all avid outdoor enthusiasts, whether hiking, skiing, snowboarding, fly fishing, or mountain biking.  One of Hazel Grove's objectives is to have a beer or beverage for everyone, so they always have a wide variety available in their taproom including house-crafted NA options.  In addition to their taproom you can find them at local bars and distributors around Pittsburgh.
