Community Impact Partnership

Up the Impact!

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

3 Rivers Outdoor Company prides itself on being Pittsburgh’s Hub for the Outdoor Community, and recognizes the power of collaboration to influence positive change in the Pittsburgh region. The shop partners with local breweries and environmental or recreation-based nonprofit organizations on a semiannual basis to host mission-specific and fundraising events, raising funds for nonprofit partners through beers poured for donation at the in store tap at 3ROC.

Whether you are attending a Community Campfire on a Friday night, a Knot Tying workshop, a film festival, or just want to enjoy a tasty, locally brewed beer while you shop; you are supporting the important work of local nonprofits with every sip!

OUR CURRENT PARTNERS

Allow us to Introduce…our Community Impact Partners for July through December 2025!

3ROC is excited to partner with Grow Pittsburgh and CoStar Brewing as our Community Impact Partners for summer through fall 2025. The partnership will officially kick off on Friday, July 25, at our outgoing partner, Mountain Watershed Association's film screening "Single Use Planet". Beer from CoStar Brewing will be on tap at the shop, available for a $5 donation benefiting Grow Pittsburgh's mission. The partners will also collaborate on a series of monthly events showcasing the nonprofit's mission.

ABOUT GROW PITTSBURGH

Celebrating 20 years in 2025, Grow Pittsburgh's mission is to teach people how to grow food and promote the benefits gardens bring to our neighborhoods. We envision the day when everyone in our city and region grows and eats fresh, local and healthy food.

Grow Pittsburgh develops and supports food-growing initiatives and programs across the region as a key way to improve the social, economic, environmental, health, and educational realities of people in our community. Our work can be summarized in three approaches:

  • We teach people how to grow food through school garden curriculum, teacher trainings, workforce development for youth and adults, workshops, and other resources.
  • We grow and distribute food for our community through our urban farm sites, providing affordable, sustainably grown fresh fruits and vegetables at our farm stands and through donations to free food distributions.

  • And we build and support gardens for schools, early childhood centers, and low-income communities throughout Allegheny County.

We support more than 40,000 Allegheny County residents each year through our programming.

ABOUT COSTAR BREWING

CoStar was founded on the principle that the simple things in life can be the best. You don’t have to break all of the rules to be new, fresh, and inspiring. You just have to do it well. This is what CoStar strives to do and deliver a product that allows the brewery to be true to themselves in creating a quality and consistent product that engages the consumer in an experience that goes beyond a single brew. They realize that their wares will not be for everyone, but they also recognize that you don’t have to like something to appreciate where it comes from and what it stands for. CoStar stands for the beer, not the hype along with a humble sense of carrying on a great tradition with roots as far back as mankind. Visit the Etna, PA brewery and taproom to see more!
