National Trails Day! Volunteer on the Rachel Carson Trail at Crouse Run

Celebrate National Trails Day with 3ROC and the Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy as we spend some time at Crouse Run completing Trail Maintenance work on the Rachel Carson Trail.

Trail work is crucial at this time of year — approaching the 27th annual Rachel Carson Trail Challenge in late June.

Volunteer Details:

Minimum unaccompanied age 14.

Tasks include: Miscellaneous trail clean up, obstacle removal, drainage remediation, etc.

What to Bring: Dress for the day with appropriate shoes and your own work gloves. Bring water and snacks for your own needs. Tools will be provided, but you may bring your own loppers, trimmers, hand saw, etc.

UPDATE as of 5/29 - we will be working on the Crouse Run re-route. Participants can park at: Rachel Carson Trail Parking on Sample Road: 40.58018, - 79.96638. Because of limited parking, overflow is: Sample Road/Royal View Drive Intersection: 40.57915, -79.96862  This is a very short walk away from the start.
