Rosalie Haizlett "Tiny Worlds" Book Signing & Discussion - Sept. 22

Tiny Worlds of the Appalachian Mountains with Artist Rosalie Haizlett

We are at capacity for this event at this time. Additional copies of Rosalie's book will be available for purchase in store after the event.

Join local author and illustrator Rosalie Haizlett for a book talk and signing to celebrate the release of her second book, Tiny Worlds of the Appalachian Mountains: An Artist’s Journey (Mountaineers Books, Sept. 1, 2024). Tiny Worlds chronicles Rosalie’s 6-month journey from Alabama to Newfoundland in 2022 as she hiked daily and looked for small, often-overlooked flora, fauna, and fungi. She painted and wrote about her observations along the way, and the finished book includes more than 150 watercolor paintings, illustrated maps of public lands, 14 essays, and 15 nature journaling prompts. This book is a celebration of Appalachian biodiversity and an invitation to tune into our natural surroundings in a deeper way. A chapter of the book features the flora and fauna that she observed while in Pennsylvania. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at her adventures and artwork and the opportunity to participate in a Q&A following the talk.

Book Signing: Have your copy of Tiny Worlds of the Appalachian Mountains signed by Rosalie Haizlett, and take the opportunity to connect with her personally.
