3 RIVERS OUTDOOR COMPANY INTRODUCES NEW NONPROFIT & BREWERY COMMUNITY IMPACT PARTNERS

3 Rivers Outdoor Company (3ROC) is pleased to announce Southwestern Pennsylvania Climbers Coalition (SWPACC)  and Old Thunder Brewing as their Community Impact Partners for Summer/Fall 2022. The partnership officially kicks off Sunday, July 17th with a Community Campfire & Happy Hour from 3-5pm at 3ROC. The networking happy hour will introduce the community to all three partners and highlight their plans for the coming months. All are welcome to attend.

The local trio is ready to generate a lot of energy and excitement, working to spread awareness and support for SWPACC’s mission to develop bouldering and climbing in southwestern Pennsylvania, conserve resources and gain and preserve access to regional crags.

The six month partnership will familiarize the community with SWPACC’s programs through a series of monthly collaboration events, each ending with a group toast of Old Thunder Brewing beer. "We're excited to partner with 3ROC and Old Thunder for the season,” said Vincent Zeng of SWPACC, “we’re looking forward to meeting more climbers in the community!"

"Old Thunder Brewing is thrilled to be partnering with 3 Rivers Outdoor Co. and SWPACC for the remainder of 2022,” said Josh Taylor, Co-Owner of Old Thunder Brewing. “This is a great opportunity for us to work with a well-respected Pittsburgh company, which has a passion for making their industry better and providing enjoyable outdoor activities for their guests.”

3 Rivers Outdoor Company prides itself on being Pittsburgh’s Hub for the Outdoor Community, and recognizes the power of collaboration to influence positive change in the Pittsburgh region. The shop partners with local breweries and environmental or recreation-based nonprofit organizations on a semiannual basis to host mission-specific and fundraising events, raising funds for nonprofit partners through beers poured for donation at the in store tap at 3ROC.

The previous Community Impact Partners were Cinderlands Beer Co. and Allegheny CleanWays, which featured a series of monthly cleanup events. The collaboration raised $3.1K for Allegheny CleanWays’ mission.

Southwestern Pennsylvania Climbers Coalition (SWPACC)The Southwestern Pennsylvania Climbers Coalition’s (SWPACC) mission is to promote the responsible development of climbing and bouldering in southwestern Pennsylvania, to disseminate information about development and conservation of the resource, and to gain and preserve access. Fully volunteer organized, SWPACC takes part in various climbing area revitalization projects including graffiti removal, hardware replacement, and trail cleanups. As we expand our operations, we have also pursued leasing of private property, training members in safe hardware installation, and negotiating access issues with public lands officials.

SWPACC is a joint member of Access Fund as a Local Climbing Organization (LCO); additional support comes from memberships, individual donations, and merchandise sales.
