Wilderness Survival: Workshop - An Introduction to Land Navigation

This workshop is the fourth in a wilderness survival series.

Join instructors from True North Wilderness Survival School at Frick Park, conveniently located in the Regent Square neighborhood of the City, to learn the basics of using a map and compass.  During this course you will learn about the compass and other gear, how to read a map, and use available resources.

Taught by experienced professionals, with real wilderness and medical experience, this easy 3-hour program will be a great introduction to gaining the confidence that you need to better protect yourself and others when help is delayed or unavailable.

Please note that in order to maximize your learning experience, space is limited.

  • Course Duration: 3.0 hours

  • Start / End Times: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

  • Location: Frick Park

  • Minimum Age:  15 Years old when accompanied by a parent.

  • Level of Physical Difficulty:  Easy
